La'Tarsha Long
La'Tarsha Long, soprano

Ms. Long received her Master's Degree in Opera Performance from the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of North Florida. She has performed with the Boston Classical Orchestra, as a young artist with the Houston Ebony Opera Guild, with the Key West Symphony Orchestra and Opera Providence, to name a few. She has performed as Annina in La traviata, Frasquita in Carmen, Maria in West Side Story and as Madame Silberklang in The Impresario among other roles. Ms. Long is a member of the Actor’s Equity Association.


Toby Newman

Toby Newman, mezzo-soprano

Ms. Newman received her Bachelor's Degree from Cornell University. She has performed with the Caramoor Festival, Anchorage Opera, and the Natchez Festival of Music, as well as numerous local companies in New York City. Recent credits include Dinah in Trouble in Tahiti with Anchorage Opera and Meg Page in Falstaff with both the Natchez Festival of Music (cover) and the Amato Opera. Other favorite roles include Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Siebel (Faust), Hansel (Hansel und Gretel), Serpetta (La finta giardiniera) and Smeton (Anna Bolena). In November 2006, Ms. Newman won first place in the National Association of Teachers of Singing – New York region’s annual vocal competition.


Allen Pinkney, Jr.
Allen Pinkney, Jr., tenor

Mr. Pinkney received his Master's degree in vocal performance at Westminster Choir College and his Bachelor’s Degree in History from Swarthmore College. He has performed the title role in Faust for Sarasota Opera’s Apprentice Program, Don José in Carmen for the Brevard Janiac Opera Company and Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore for Swarthmore College Opera Theater, as well as roles for Spoleto Festival, Westminster Opera and Opera North, among others. Mr. Pinkney is the recipient of the Encouragement Award from the 2006 Metropolitan Opera Regional Council Auditions.

Jeffrey McEvoy
Jeffrey McEvoy, baritone

Mr. McEvoy received his Master's degree at Wichita State University and his Bachelor’s Degree from John Brown University. He has performed in productions with Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Sarasota Opera, and Wichita State Opera Theater. He has sung Masetto in Don Giovanni, Geremont in La Traviata, Gregorio in Romeo et Juliette and Polonius in Hamletamong many other roles. He was the Kansas City District Winner in the Metropolitan Opera Council Auditions and has been a young artist in the Apprentice programs at Sarasota Opera, Lake George Opera, Lyric Opera of Kansas City and Des Moines Metro Opera.



Christopher Devlin
, Music Director

Mr. Devlin has performed in recitals with Denyce Graves, Frederick Burchinal, and Monique Page, among others. He has served as an assistant to conductors including James Judd, Tom Muraco and as rehearsal pianist for Maestros Mario Bernardi, Sergiu Commissiona, Franz-Paul Decker, and others. He has served as a vocal coach at McGill University and Orford Arts Centre and has served as Music Director for Opera Express as well as Assistant Conductor at Connecticut Opera.
